GENERAL
Blankenberge is said to be the best break in the area between Knokke and Ostende.
It is a man made break over the pier, and it even breaks when other spots close out.
But the surroundings (no showers, no changing rooms, no toilets, no bars) are not
as comfortable as at Surfers Paradise. Go to Blankenberge you for a couple of hours
of pure surfing, if you want to spend a whole day or wait for high tide,
surfers paradise is the nicer option.
SPOT RATING: 2** (1- not so okay, 2-okay, 3-cool, 4-very cool, 5-the ultimate spot)

HOW TO GET THERE
Blankenberge is 2 villages or 12 miles west of Knokke (first comes Zeebrugge)
Drive along the street right by the shore and follow it too the very end.
Just before the street makes a left and brings you to the old yacht harbour, you see the spot.
The break is right of the while pier. The lucky ones park right at the promenade, the
others taka a short walk from the yacht harbour parking lot
WAVES
Man made break from the pier. Wear a shorty in summer and a wetsuit with long sleeves
in spring and autumn or on cold days.
CROWDS
less crowded than surfers paradise.
