GENERAL
This is only one of at least 4 surfable spots in the area (including Mentor). It has a
tiny sandy beach and it's very close to downtown. Erie is the shallowest of the Great
Lakes and has the warmest water. It'll need a fair bit of wind or stormy weather to break,
so depending on the season, you'll be needing a wettie! And most definitely a Longboard,
the bigger the better.
(Deep winter is only for the seriously surf-starved or madly-addicted; the Few, the Brave,
the Frozen. Watch out for icebergs.)
SPOT RATING: 3*** (1- not so okay, 2-okay, 3-cool, 4-very cool, 5-the ultimate spot)
I rate it a 'cool' 3 for existing.
