GENERAL
Pigeons (amongst the University students) or also known as Bournemouth Pier Bay can be quite good on a good day with glassy clean waves and good rights. However it can get quite crowded on a sunny day. Best Time is Autumn till Beginning of Spring. All sizes of boards can be used.

HOW TO GET THERE
either take the train from London Waterloo or fly directly to Bournemouth International. Then Follow the signs to Waterfront and Pier.

OTHER COMMENTS:
Pigeons Surfspot was usually just called Bay next to Bournemouth Pier but story tells that after locals Rusty and Charly paddled out they saved a pigeon from drowning. As the Pigeons wings were wet it wouldn't fly off and just stood on the boards nose. So they surfed with the pigeon on the board for a while. Therefore the name Pigeons.
